1. THE HEAD TALLER LEADERSHIP MODEL.png

The Head Taller Leadership Model is an original methodology conceived, developed and authored by

Rita Ezenwa-Okoro. It emerged from, and was tested through, eighteen years of applied practice in youth leadership development, beginning with the founding of Street Project Foundation in Lagos in 2008.

The model has two established fields of application. In the first — its original context — it develops leadership capability in young people through play, performance and the creative arts. In the second, the same four-phase sequence is applied to organisations, enabling teams to see their own systems, to break habitual thinking, and to design a future beyond incremental improvement.

SYSTEM AWARENESS → PLAYFUL EXPLORATION → IMAGINATIVE EXPANSION → FUTURE PERFORMANCE

One · System Awareness

To see the limitation.

Surfacing the assumptions, inherited habits and structures accepted as fixed.

Output: strategic awareness.

Two · Playful Exploration

To disrupt the script.

Embodied, non-verbal play breaks

habitual roles and hierarchies.

Output: a group released from its patterns.

Three · Imaginative Expansion

To generate new possibility.

Working without language, participants build visual and physical futures.

Output: unfiltered visions, made tangible.

Four · Future Performance

To rehearse the future.

Present, interrogate, select, commit.

Output: pilot ideas with named owners and immediate commitments.
